❓ What company did you intern with, and how did you secure the internship?
✏️ Hi guys!! I am Senthil and currently working at Rolls-Royce Solutions Asia Pte Ltd, working as a Project Management Intern:)) I must say I did get my internship offer in the nick of time, but it was worth the wait! I did my research and went for the interview, but what I realised was that more than the research we do to learn about a company and its departments, it's the confidence that we display when conversing with the interviewer, that will secure the internship. I have always wanted to be involved in Project Management and learn the commercial side, on top of the technical side I have thus far learnt and this was the reason that motivated me to apply for this internship offer. ❓ How is your internship experience? ✏️ My internship experience thus far has been a fruitful one where it has given me first hand experience of how power generation systems function and how the working world operates. It has also enhanced my knowledge of how day to day processes and tasks occur, when we converse with our clients regarding several projects. Indeed it is a different, but interesting experience to work for a semester, so don't miss that opportunity!

❓ What company did you intern with, and how did you secure the internship?
✏️ I interned with ST Engineering under Supply Chain. I secured my internship by applying on talent connect. It’s very important to have a well written CV. ❓ How was your internship experience? ✏️ I had a lot of fun on my internship! I made many friends throughout my journey. One of the most important things that I’ve learned that work is work. I was very lucky to have been able to make many close friends on my internship, but this may not be the case for most. It is still necessary to keep good working relations with those around you. It is also important to make every day count, otherwise everyday passes by very slowly. Make sure to keep yourself busy! ❓ Any tips for those looking for an internship? ✏️ Keep an open mind. Engineering is extremely broad and this internship will be the chance for you to explore into many different aspects and find out what does and doesn’t work for you. Being polite and staying helpful will let those around you to reciprocate the same thoughts as well. Q: Short intro about yourself!

A: I was part of the zoom batch, which meant that orientation was online 😔 I want to create the most memorable camp that the freshmen would ever experience when they first enter NUS! 🤩 Q: Your best memories in FOP? A: My best memories of FOP includes bonding 😜 with my programmes committee during the 3 days of orientation as well as bonding with the freshmen through the games 🎮 that we conducted! Q: Any thoughts about studying ME? A: I have a dislike for free body diagram, but even my weaknesses will become my strengths one day right? 😤 Q: Anything else that you would like to add? A: So why not join me in this journey to make a great camp? ❤️ Q: Short intro about yourself!

Q: Any unforgettable moments you had from studying ME? A: Sitting outside Supersnacks one night before ME finals 📖 wondering if we would do well HAHAHA Q: Any advice to the next FOP committee? A: Create a good culture within your own committee so that y'all can have fun 🥳 but work hard at the same time! Q: Short intro about yourself!
A: Hi! I’m Amelia, currently in Y2 Mech Eng. I love food and spending my free time with family and friends! Q: What inspired you to join the FOP committee? In my year, all the orientations I attended were online, and I didn’t get to make many friends. 😭 So, I wanted to join the FOP committee to plan a fun orientation camp, to give the juniors an unforgettable FOP experience that would serve as a platform to make friends 👋 and feel more comfortable in a new environment :) Also, I hope to make more friends with my coursemates through this opportunity! Q: Your best memories in FOP? A: The dinners 🍽 and outings we have with the FOP committee, and getting to bond with them even beyond camp-related matters. 😉 Watching the freshmen bond over the games 🎮 and activities that my team planned during the camp days was very fulfilling. Seeing the camp's success 🥳 was worth all the effort the FOP committee had put in. Q: Any unforgettable moments from studying ME? A: Mugging for finals with my coursemates! 📚 Trying to understand and apply concepts was no doubt a struggle, but going for consultations and learning from mistakes with my friends really made studying for finals much more bearable 😌 (and maybe even fun in some ways? HAHAHA) Q: Anything else that you would like to add? A: To any juniors who may be struggling or feeling stressed, know that you are never alone. We all go through this journey together; try to make more friends and help each other out when the going gets tough. Jiayous! 💪🏻 |
